Coronavirus: Important measures NAHC is taking to mitigate the risk and further spread of COVID-19

Information for NRAS Investors

If you are an owner of a property with an NRAS allocation, please read the below information regarding changes to our operations.

The following information will provide you with the details of changes to our operations and to ensure business continuity as we continue to manage your investment during this time:

Coming into our Office

We are now conducting all business by phone and email where possible. Please contact us by phone or email and we will attend to your enquiry accordingly.

Routine Property Inspections

To assist the Government to try and contain and slow the spread of Corona virus, we have made the decision to cancel routine inspections scheduled for the next three months (until 30 June 2020) in order to minimise risk for both property managers and tenants.

Re-letting

It remains a top priority to ensure that your property is tenanted. If your property is vacated we will continue to actively re-let the property but with a slight change to how we conduct inspections and to maintain hospital-grade hygiene in order to mitigate the risk and further spread of COVID-19.

Property Maintenance

Our measures should have no impact on maintenance requests or the process for emergency repairs, however we will need to comply with any measures imposed by our maintenance contractors during this time. Some services, such as maintenance conducted by trade-services, may be disrupted during this time.

Communication to Your Tenant

We are writing to all our NRAS tenants making them aware of their responsibilities and the importance of timely communication with us on all these relevant matters, so that we can best manage the situation for them and for you, as the NRAS property owner.

Landlord Insurance

It is generally accepted in all circumstances that Landlord Insurance be considered as an option for landlords. If you have landlord insurance for your NRAS investment, may we suggest that you check the terms of your policy in relation to this current situation. If you do not have Landlord Insurance against your NRAS investment, may we suggest you consider this option.

Unfortunately at this time we are unable to advise or confirm the extent to which such insurance might cover such unprecedented events. Please therefore take care in reviewing your options.
